Shaquille Blake has been sentenced to 34 years in prison after being convicted of attempted murder and possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting of rapper Remtrex at MJ’s Bar in Wednesbury.
Remtrex, whose real name is Demehl Thomas, was shot at close range in the early hours of August 13, 2023. He suffered abdominal and arm injuries but survived.
Despite fears that the bullet could have left him unable to walk, he later recovered and even referenced the ordeal in a song.
